building a creative life
@ The Arts League, Mondays 6-8pm
Starting June 29th
"a multi-week, multi-disciplinary course on developing your creative process into something that is consistent and fulfilling. Unlike technical courses, this course is designed to look at the emotional aspects of creation and the roadblocks many of us encounter in ourselves and our environments in seeking to build our creative practices... Students will read thinkers on creativity like Gaston Bachelard, Julia Cameron, and Natalie Goldberg and will be assigned weekly practices to reengage with their creativity, whimsy, and child-like splendor in creating."

4 weeks, 4 stories
@ The Arts League, Thursdays 6-8pm
Starting July 15th
A generative multi-week course in which participants will leave having written four short stories and received (positive) group feedback. This class is all about getting words on the page, whether they live up to our highest expectation or not.Students will learn to follow their instincts, "listen" to the story wanting to be written instead of trying to think of it themselves, and learn how to let go of one story and move on to the next. At the end of the course, students will have four drafts to return to and new tools to maintain an ongoing writing practice.
